Our Approach to Sustainability

Design Process

At the core of every ZWINGENBERG collection lies a holistic design process. Our inspiration is rooted in a deep connection to art, culture, architecture, music, lifestyle, and travel. From these influences, we develop timeless designs— created for a seasonless, eternal wardrobe.

Each piece is developed in our studio in Germany. From the initial sketch to draping, pattern development, and grading, every design is carefully crafted together with our team. Our ambition is to create garments that transcend trends—for an “eternal wardrobe.”

We work with intention and patience: the sustainable decisions we make today often only become visible a year later, once a garment has been fully developed and produced.

Material & Sourcing

For every ZWINGENBERG design, materials are personally selected. We work with trusted suppliers of high-quality suiting fabrics, including fine virgin wool from Italy.

A central element of our collections is the use of carefully sourced deadstock fabrics from France and Italy, which we transform into limited editions. Our knitwear yarns are sourced exclusively from Italian family-run businesses known for their craftsmanship and heritage.

All additional components—from zippers and buttons to interlinings and linings—are consciously chosen by us. We prioritize transparency, short supply chains within Europe, and ensure that every detail reflects the ZWINGENBERG DNA: exceptional quality, longevity, and responsible production.

Manufacturing & Production

In our production process, we place great importance on craftsmanship, fair working conditions, and close collaboration with our partners.

Each step is carefully aligned with our production facilities in Poland to ensure the highest level of precision and quality. Our knitwear is made in Italy, complementing the collection with its refined craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic.
